New Chief of Paramedic Services to Start Next Week

Fort Frances, Ontario – 2023/09/13 – The District of Rainy River Services Board (DRRSB) is pleased to announce that Joshua Colling has been hired as the new Chief of Paramedic Services.

Colling has a wealth of prior experience, which makes him the ideal candidate for the job. He has worked as a paramedic, both inside and outside the Rainy River District, and possesses a strong working knowledge of the land ambulance process and relevant legislation.

In his previous role as Fire Chief, Colling led significant projects involving municipal, provincial, and federal governments, as well as Indigenous communities. Most recently, he worked as the Operations Manager for the Office of the Fire Marshal’s North West/Northern Protection Program, where he has been responsible for the leadership and oversight of 61 fire stations across Unincorporated Ontario. In addition to providing daily direction to staff, Colling also managed staffing/resources planning and allocation, as well as emergency and capital planning, budgeting, and equipment and asset management.

Not only does Colling have significant experience in emergency services, he is also very community-minded, as he is a board member for Safe Communities, and a head coach for Fort Frances Minor Hockey Association.

We look forward to Colling joining us on September 18, 2023.
