Fort Frances, Ontario – 2025/11/12 – The District of Rainy River Services Board (DRRSB) will host The Connection Hub: A Community Care Expo for Fort Frances & District on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the HOPE Centre in Fort Frances.

Held in recognition of National Housing Day (November 22), this event will bring together community partners, service providers, and support organizations under one roof to connect residents with free essential services. The Expo is guided by a spirit of compassion, collaboration, and care, emphasizing the importance of working together to meet local needs.

“It’s a convenient way for people to access multiple supports in one place,” said Brenda Witherspoon-Bedard, Community Engagement Coordinator, Homelessness, with the DRRSB.

Building Awareness on National Housing Day

National Housing Day is recognized annually across Canada to highlight the importance of safe, affordable housing and to raise awareness about homelessness. The Connection Hub is part of that effort — providing a hands-on, local opportunity to promote dignity, community, and access to support.
